12.18.06 (10:55 am)   [edit]

I am an eggnog-virgin.  But not a chai-.  I had a great drink (or taste- whatever way is best to not glorify alcohol) the other night w/ my friends.  It was Chai w/ a kick.  I'd try it again- but it was one of those things that are good once in a blue moon, not, for example, as a repacement for your morning cup of tea. ;)

I'm safely back at my parents' place- rather good drive here, and a good amount of sleep since then.  I've got some errands, so I'll leave it at this for now.

Happy Monday!

It was my first time with that drink, but not my first drink ever. Have a great day!

Gosh, eggnog and chai are *really* different taste sensations! Nice thing for me about nog's that it's absent the harshness of black tea, which tends to make my tummy queazy. On the other hand, the calories tend to make my tummy pudgy!! Oh dear ... - ak

The good thing about chai, though, is if you have a box of packets, that can last a really long time, but eggnog expires much more quickly- so you've got to drink it (thus the pudge ;)) much more quickly, unless you share...

"unless you share..."

Now, there's a novel idea! An underused weight-mgt strategy. - ak

If you've never drunk alcohol, you're not missing much. It burns. You can enjoy any mixed drink w/o the alcohol (similar to strawberry smoothies or chocolate shakes, that sort of thing).
If you've never had eggnog- it is very creamy- moreso than whole milk, and very sweet, and usually there is nutmeg added for flavor.
