I petted (sounds so weird!) and played with a cat last night. I am very fond of dogs, but it was just the right timing for a cat. I came home late, and there it was, perched on a fence. I called it over, and talked w/ and touched it. I'm really glad we have tamed animals nearby. They seem to have an important role.
