woodpecker?
The snow collects the good with the bad, as can be seen when it melts. This blog is my snow, holding onto my experiences. |

posted by: irishred (reply) post date: 08.12.04 (6:24 am) In Ohio, we usually have temps in the 90's this time of year. It has been very mild this summer and today the high temp will only be around 70. I love it! posted by: Aro (reply) post date: 08.12.04 (8:00 am) you should have climbed up the chimney and tried to catch it! Then you could have your own pet woodpecker! although, it could be dangerous if it got mad at you and tried to systematically peck down your house . . . OR called his friends for an allout woodpecker attack! yikes. I don't think I'd want one in my chimney either now that I think about it. posted by: SparklingSnow (reply) post date: 08.12.04 (11:23 am) Reply to irishred: oh, yes, I prefer it to be cold over hot- winter is much more welcome than summer- but one reason I like the Midwest is the variation- it can be different day to day- - sorry, but I don't know how long I'd last in Southern California or Hawaii- even if it was the perfect temp., humidity, sun/cloud/breeze combination every day, all year- I'd want a change! 3 cheers for seasons! Reply to Aro: no thanks- I'm happy w/ a wall between me and pecking birds- especially a whole flock of them! yikes! posted by: chrisflea (reply) post date: 08.12.04 (2:10 pm) I live in Hawaii and have wonderfull weather all year long but i do admit that I miss the changing seasons. Especially fall with all the changeing colors and falling leaves. Crunching the leaves as you walk in the streets. My best friend hated it when I did that. posted by: Aro (reply) post date: 08.12.04 (4:56 pm) crunching leaves is the BEST. we usually don't get that in California, but there were some this year and I loved it. posted by: cb (reply) post date: 08.12.04 (10:30 pm) woodpeckers are pretty common to the midwest, actually. |
