How many days to go?

The snow collects the good with the bad, as can be seen when it melts. This blog is my snow, holding onto my experiences.

How many days to go?
04.19.05 (10:27 am)   [edit]

Aaron and I went climbing (trees, not mountains) yesterday.  We had planned on going this weekend, but stuff came up- cloudy weather, hot weather, a wedding shower, you know. . . It was fun, and there are some huge trees here in Orange- bigger than I imagined in a teensy place like this- anyways, there's a pic on Aaron's site, and I'll post some soon.
I'm now tutoring some students individually.  That's an extra 3 hours a week, but it's almost double (the pay of) my other jobs, so I'm in pretty good shape.  It also takes a lot more work.  One is Pre-Calculus (aka collge freshman).  Aaron is using the same book, so I've been able to work w/ it, to know what she's struggling with.  Math sure can take a long time!  The other, I'm starting this week.  It's a 9th grader who's taking standards test in May, and has tested pretty poorly (50-something precentile).  I'll start w/ the practice/sample tests I've found online.
The weather's been nicer in the Midwest than here, and I'm happy for that- I guess it's been a pretty mild winter there.
Push on through!  I know most of the people here are coming up to the end of the semester, or are helping someone do so- hang in there!  Do your best, but don't stress out.  The effort you've put in so far should start to show.  Go, team, go!

Thanks for the encouragement! Yay for el verano! (excuse the absence of a tilde!)

Does verano need a tilde? I'm pretty sure it doesn't, just based on how I pronounce it, but . . . I don't know, I could be wrong. It doesn't look right without one.

And I'm the one who went to Spain! arggghhh!

I agree with what everyone has said so far, though. And math can take a ridiculous long time. It's like 1+1+2+3+5+8+13+21+34+45+79+124+203+327+530+857+... is how much time it takes sometimes! dang. Also, as if we all needed more math in our life: can you figure out the pattern?? do you know its significance?
if you watched Mathnet you should.

Each number is the sum of the two integers preceding it
